Introduction
Seven online activities are designed to practice various reading strategies. They are not for distant
education or web-based instruction only. These activities can be better achieved when they are integrated
into inclass reading instruction. The proficiency level of target students for the sample activities introduced
here is mostly higher than intermediate, but teachers can adjust the difficulty level by selecting easier reading
pieces and preparing simpler questions. These reading practices can be done in a computer lab as an
inclass activity or individually at home as an assignment.
