LETS
The hallmark of the LETS courses is the use of themes to achieve
communicative goals. Students are engaged in learning not by doing
boring exercises the teacher has chosen for students but through
active involvement in a project or club activities within a theme
students have chosen themselves. The instructors in LETS classes
will act only as facilitators guiding students through to the successful
completion of the project goals as well as their personal linguistic
goals. For this purpose, the instructor and students will establish
a very close association with each other both in and out of the
classroom. Each student will be given personal attention through
weekly consultations with the instructor about their progress.
The main advantage of the LETS courses over other traditional language
courses is the unique type of exposure to English and practice that
students get. Students are confronted with real English in real-life
settings. In this sense, the LETS courses are more like immersion
courses. Korean English learners can benefit a lot from the LETS
courses especially because they have large amounts of English but
cannot use all the things they know in real-life situations. The
LETS courses at LinguaExpress give students the perfect opportunity
to use Enlgish in semi-controlled, friendly settings where strong
social interactions form the backdrop of all that is done.

Let's Speak
Let's Speak is a course offered for lower level students and/or
students who lack confidence in their speaking ability. Let's Speak
is also for students who are preparing for the MATE (Multimedia
Assisted Testing of English), a testing tool developed by Sookmyung
Women's University. In this course moderate level tasks
are given that focus on the more personal, informal exchange of
language in social situations. Students are placed in a variety
of role play situations.
There are two different classes based on students' performance the
MATE. Materials specially designed for this course help and guide
students through the course and are also used as resources for self-study.

Let's Write
This course is designed to develop students' fluency, scope, and
proficiency in writing English. The writing test of the MATE s used
as a backdrop. There are two levels, and the level is determined
by the writing test of the MATE before the course begins. Students
practice writing and receive instruction designed to make them better
able to cope with a wide variety of writing situations and levels.
Following the basic LinguaExpress plan, all writing practice is
very communicative and theme/content-based.

SEP(Staff English Program)
Focused on the English that is mostly used in offices, this course
is also very communicative and theme/content-based. Students are
given different tasks within different themes. While students carry
out tasks playing their own roles, the instructor also plays an
important role and facilitates the communication process providing
various cues and messages that can help continue communication.
At the end of each class session, the instructor has a wrap-up session
about office English focusing on the items used in the day's practice.

LETS Work
This is a special LETS class with a fixed focus and audience. This
course focuses on the type of English that is required and used
in an office, or for business. Students need not be working business
people but they should be prepared to gain some business savvy.
Students will be actively engaged in business- related projects
and activities, which may include writing reports, giving presentations,
and enhancing telephone/general communication skills.
